The Board of Directors for The KEY Collective is tasked with elevating the organization, driving donations, increasing partnerships, and supporting the Executive Director. Together, they plan strategically for the future of The KEY Collective.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mark H. Whitney | Board President
Since 2007, Mark Whitney has been the Vice President of Strategy, Community Relations and Fundraising at Exeter Health Resources, an integrated healthcare delivery system primarily located in Exeter, New Hampshire. Mark serves as both the chief strategy and chief community relations officer for all of Exeter Health Resources, Inc.'s operating affiliates including Exeter Hospital, Core Physicians, and Rockingham Visiting Nurse and Hospice. His role also includes responsibility for system-wide fundraising and community benefit activities. Mark is responsible for the development and oversight of the organization's Community Needs Assessment and manages Exeter Health Resources' Community Grants Program which provides funding to local area health care related not-for-profits including a broad based five year initiative to reduce the underlying drivers of youth suicide in the region.

Prior to coming to Exeter Health Resources, Mark worked at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, Massachusetts and University Hospital in Boston (now part of Boston Medical Center).
Mark earned his bachelor's degree at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and a Masters of Business Administration at Boston University.
Until recently, Mark served as a Board Member of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley and was a member and chair of the Regional Council of the United Way of the Greater Seacoast. He has served on a variety of other community and professional Boards.
Mark and his wife Tara live in Newfields, NH with two children at Exeter High School and one who is in his sophomore year at Middlebury College in Vermont.
Molly Zirillo | Board Vice President
Molly has been the Executive Director of Society of St Vincent de Paul Exeter Food Pantry and Cleo Castonguay Community Assistance Center for eight years. Molly has a passion for assisting our neighbors in need.
Molly and her family have resided in Exeter for the past 20 years. She is a mother of two teenaged sons who attend Exeter High School. Being a Mother, she is keenly aware of how critical the opportunities The Key Collective can provide to contribute to a student's successful development.
Steve Singlar | Board Treasurer
Steve is a fierce competitor with over two decades of experience in networking technology, sales, marketing, support and management, all the while leveraging a comprehensive blend of hardware and software expertise.
Frustrated by the complexity of network configurations and limited options for people to connect online, in 2003 Steve Co-Founded Single Digits from his garage in Exeter, NH. The vision for Single Digits was to partner with property owners, primarily in the Apartment, Student Housing, Senior Living and Hospitality sectors, to design, build and support property-wide networks. This new approach to connectivity would allow consumers to connect seamlessly and for property- owners to maximize the operational and financial benefits of the network through enhanced customer engagement.

Anchored by its propriety software, which was later named NH High Tech Council Product of the Year in 2012, the company succeeded and now services over five thousand venues and one million guest rooms and residences throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. The company has become a trusted partner to some of the largest Multi- Dwelling Unit (MDU) and Hospitality brands and has over 455 employees across six office locations including its HQ in Bedford, NH.
Steve earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1994 where he was also a member and President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He’s a natural leader with several accolades including being named Co-Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 by the NH High Tech Council. In 2021, the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center inducted Steve to the Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, a program which celebrates the accomplishments of UNH alumni as founders of companies and as leaders in public service.
Steve has built an excellent reputation in business and his local community by consistently solving challenges through technology, process and building successful relationships. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and has been involved in a variety of local projects including The Dean’s Development Board in the College of Liberal Arts, Exeter Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care, The Moore Center, and Friends of Exeter Parks and Rec. An avid runner, Steve is also a Boston sports enthusiast and enjoys playing the harmonica and guitar.
Jamie Sawler | Board Secretary
Jamie lives in Stratham with his wife (Melissa) and three children, George (6), Louisa (4) and Teddy (1). He has worked in education for his entire career, first as a mathematics teacher, then a school counselor, then Director of School Counseling at the Cooperative Middle School and Exeter High School, and now is the Assistant Principal at Exeter High School.
Jamie has coached football and track and field in the past and now has turned his passion for coaching to tee-ball. He enjoys spending time with his family, particularly, skiing, biking and playing in the back yard.
Helping families in need is a passion of his and the #areuin? card is a great way for families to have equal access to resources that contribute to an active, healthy lifestyle.
Kari Lazerowich | Board Member
Kari is a resident of Rye Beach and works as a graphic designer. As such, she plans to contribute to Key Collective's efforts (as she has for numerous other local non-profits over the years). Kari was one of the founding board members of Womenade of Greater Squamscott and served actively on that board for a decade.
As the mother of two boys (now successful young men) Kari understands the value of out of school activity. By working with Key Collective on their areuin card program she hopes to see deserving families able to take advantage of opportunities for their children in both the arts and athletics.
Kristen Russell | Board Member
Kristen is the Broker for her family’s’ real estate business, Russell Associates, Inc. She has been active in the Seacoast Realtor community since 1992. She is a graduate of Governors Academy and the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the local, state and national REALTOR associations as well as the NH Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS.
She is passionate about the vision of the Key Collective and is excited share her experience and sales/marketing expertise on the fundraising and events committees.

Kristen is very involved in the community and enjoys her participation in local organizations and non-profits. She serves as President of the Board for The Friends of the Hampton Mounted Patrol and is a past board member for Experience Hampton.
Kristen lives in Hampton with her family. She loves to garden, is an avid skier and an active horsewoman.
Adam Berezin | Board Member
Adam Berezin is a co-founder of GuidePoint Media (GPM), and has been the CEO since its inception in 2008. GPM is the owner of MSDynamicsWorld.com (MSDW), recognized as the world’s largest independent digital source for news and information in the Microsoft Business Applications space. Additionally, MSDW is the largest provider of digital demand generation programs to Microsoft Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) around the world.
Adam is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, overseeing all business development efforts, and the creation of digital demand generation programs.

Prior to co-founding GPM, Adam was responsible for new business development at Wellesley Information Services (WIS), a leading publisher of technical journals, magazines, newsletters and conferences for SAP professionals.
Prior to WIS, Adam held senior business development positions at International Data Corporation (IDC) and Lightship Telecommunications.
Adam has a degree in Economics from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
Adam has lived in Stratham since 2014 along with his wife, Valerie, and their two children, Ava and Sam. As a father of two children who are very active in sports, Adam understands the value of after school enrichment, and is determined to help make The KEY Collective a household name in New Hampshire and beyond.
Bob Morton | Board Member
Bob Morton is President of C&P Gallagher Properties LLC in Portsmouth. Bob is well connected across the Seacoast and brings a wealth of business experience and lifelong commitment to community service to the board.
Bob has been married to his wife Jaye for 43 years. They have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren with a 4th on the way. Bob credits his parents for instilling in him from a young age the importance of giving back to the community and helping people who are less fortunate. He carried that lesson into adulthood, where he coached at Rye Soccer Club for 10 years. He served on the board of Sexual Assault Support Services (now HAVEN) for 5 years before becoming Vice President his last year.

From raising his family and his time coaching soccer, Bob knows firsthand how impactful it can be for kids to be a part of a team, learn to work together, and take pride in what they’re doing. He is excited to be a part of the board and hopes to help The KEY Collective expand its impact across the region.
